Evidence-Based Solutions for Youth Deradicalisation

Young people are consuming online content for many reasons. They may be looking for answers, community or a sense of identity. They might be bored. They might be sent something from a friend, or see it on an algorithmically generated feed.
Once they show interest in a subject, the algorithm feeds it to them with increasing frequency. Youth can internalise these messages often without knowing the harm or consequences they cause.

Evidence suggests that direct conflict can be negative as these messages may be internalised. One on one, empathetic mentoring, showcasing a better outcome is ideal for redirecting these youth to a more positive outlook.

Working with Iliad Youth should see your son be able to think about his media use, train his algorithm, and become proficient at communicating.
